The Video Earrings has compatibility with both PC and Mac platforms. As of right now the device only comes in one color which is black but is expected to have different skins available by 2014. Furthermore, when the device is not in use it can either be powered off or put into an automatic screen saver mode when the general power runs out. The device plays for 4-8 hours and plays all general video formats such as MOV, AVI, MP4, Wmv, Mpeg, and Mpg.
